GEORGE EUSTICE - PAINTER

Born in Melbourne in 1947, George Eustice has developed a unique impressionistic style, and with it he captures the places and spaces that often go unmarked.
This gentle, free, relaxed expressionism conjures the work of the great masters, but rather than the blue shadows of Gaugin's shady beaches or Van Gogh's sweet interiors,
these are the details of everyday Melbourne: scenes snatched through a window, across the rooftops, atop a table.
